Blockchain Company to Launch World’s First Free Money Changing and Remittance at USA-Mexico Border

“The Money Project” is North America’s first and only blockchain banking solutions center

SAN DIEGO—August 12, 2022—“The Money Project” by OkGlobal Coin SWITCH-MYID and the associated Border Fusion Project, today announced the upcoming launch of North America’s first and only blockchain banking solutions center at the USA-Mexico border. They are spearheading a cross-border economic development zone between the United States and Mexico. This is the busiest land border crossing on earth, located in San Diego, California.

The project is set to become the world’s leading registered, regulated and compliant international blockchain project of its kind. The location will be the world’s first and, at this time, the only currency exchange that will be offering services “at-cost or at-loss” to those who are in need of foreign currency exchange and/or remittance services.

“The trend in migration and a connected blurring of economic and social ties in border communities and beyond is an opportunity for the blockchain industry to service and find fertile areas of growth,” said Han S. Kim, founder of The Money Project by OkGlobal Coin SWITCH-MYID. “People are looking for ways to save and make money. Our project is here at a time when we can truly be of value not only to local communities, but the global community.”

In general, the conversation of USA-Mexico border crossing conditions rarely mentions the frequent border crossing community and linked economies of both countries. This community benefits from the healthy exchange of available jobs, products, and services. The overall opportunities are an increasingly attractive draw for citizens on both sides of the border. As many residents of Latin America seek opportunity in USA, there has also been a recent increasing migration of USA citizens permanently moving to South America or establishing secondary residences in Latin America due to multiple factors such as rising cost of living and remote working culture.

These conditions, along with the close economic and social ties between Tijuana and San Diego, have led to San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria and Tijuana Mayor Monsterrat Caballero formalizing a new memorandum of understanding on May 11, 2022 to increase collaboration on social and economic

cross-border issues. This is where a pioneering blockchain company comes in.

Along with industry disruptive at-cost or at-loss money changing and remittance services, “The Money Project” will also offer a borderless payment platform to compete with traditional services such as VISA, Mastercard and American Express. The plan is to beta test it with local businesses within a planned Border Fusion Economic Development Zone. The benefits of the payment platform include eliminating the need for currency exchange services, a decrease in payment processing fees of 90% or more when compared to traditional payment processors, and the availability of immediate conversion to fiat money.

Businesses that wish to participate will not be required to have the services contracted and will not need any special equipment. These basic services alone are projected to save local businesses and the community at the USA-Mexico border hundreds of millions of dollars within the first 10 years. The result will be to put money back into the pockets of the local businesses and consumers. Furthermore, a full line of traditional banking services fitted with blockchain cost savings and proprietary security features are currently planned by “The Money Project.”

“The Money Project” by OkGlobal Coin SWITCH-MYID aims to open thousands of additional international service centers across the world to serve as the global platform for the traditional economy and to help the public transition to the new decentralized blockchain economy.
